Play is committed to protecting your personal data. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Account & profile data: email address, full name, username, age, gender, city, profile photo, sport preferences, and skill level.
Location: your approximate location (latitude and longitude) to find nearby players and leagues. You can revoke this permission at any time in your device settings.
Activity: leagues and teams you join, fixtures and results, points and standings, and messages sent in league and team chats.
Photos: images you choose to upload for your profile or league. We do not access your camera roll beyond what you select.
To create and manage your account and display your profile to other users.
To match you with nearby players, teams, and leagues based on your location and sport preferences.
To power league management, fixture scheduling, and in-app messaging.
To send you notifications about fixtures, results, and league activity.
To investigate disputes or reports of misconduct.
We do not use your data for advertising and we do not sell your data to anyone.
Other Play users can see your public profile: name, username, city, sport preferences, skill level, and profile photo.
Your email address is never visible to other users.
We use Supabase (EU-based) to store your data securely. They process data on our behalf and are contractually required to protect it.
We may disclose data if required by law or to protect the safety of our users.
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@playapp.co.uk. We will respond within 30 days.
You can also lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
We keep your data for as long as your account is active.
If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, unless we are required to keep it for legal reasons.
All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. Access to our database is restricted and controlled.
No system is completely secure. If you have security concerns, contact us at hello@playapp.co.uk.
Play is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has registered, contact us and we will delete their account.
